Still, on her seventeenth birthday, Nyx abandons everything she's ever known to marry the all-powerful, immortal Ignifex. Her plan? Seduce him, destroy his enchanted castle, and break the nine-hundred-year-old curse he put on her people.

But Ignifex is not at all what Nyx expected. The strangely charming lord beguiles her, and his castle-a shifting maze of magical rooms-enthralls her.

As Nyx searches for a way to free her homeland by uncovering Ignifex's secrets, she finds herself unwillingly drawn to him. Even if she could bring herself to love her sworn enemy, how can she refuse her duty to kill him? With time running out, Nyx must decide what is more important: the future of her kingdom, or the man she was never supposed to love.

Book Review:

I love Mythology/Romance themed books but sometimes they get boring as hell!! Well, Cruel Beauty is having none of that because this is a book that will stuck you to the seat and make you read it all! You won't be able to resist this girl with so much hatred inside that will love the one she's supposed to destroy nor the demon that will steal your heart with a snap of his fingers. Oh yeah, it's FREAKING GOOD!

Cruel Beauty has so many tales and awesome greek stories that gave so much mystery and magic to the book and turned it into something so special to read! Rosamund really did know how to set the mood and create this alternate reality where i could lose myself in for hours. Everything is just so Interesting!!! The characters are perfectly written. The story is fast, straight to the point and so diversified! It has demons, amazing clothes, romance, action and so much humor!!! You will not in any way get bored!!

Finally a girl that's not a martyr and doesn't accept that she's the one that has to sacrifice herself to a demon because her father was dumb. Instead we see her revulsion and hatred to the family that's doing this to her!!! And that's the first reason this girl had my attention from the very first page... She's a fighter and she'll do anything to destroy Ignifex's and she'll even try to stab him many times. (I laughed so bad in those parts because he just brushed her off). But Nyx got some courage in her and even though she fell in love with the guy she's supposed to hate she kept the fight and the spark going and didn't just became dull...
If one of us had to die, it ought to be the one with poison in her heart.
I seized the plate and smashed it across his face, then grabbed the knife and tried to stab him left-handed. I nearly succeeded this time, but then he twisted my right hand. Pain seared up my arm and we both tumbled to the floor. Of course he landed on top of me.
“Definitely different.” He didn’t sound out of breath at all, while I was gasping. “You might even deserve to be my wife.” He sat up.
Ignifex's (I swear this guy has so many names) had my heart from the very first page when he appeared. It's impossible not to love him. He's got the cocky attitude and the smirk and nice smile that just make him irresistible even though he gets on our nerves throughout most of the book because he doesn't take anything serious... He's the ruler of demons that has a massive secret around him that he's got no memory of, which adds so much mystery!!!
They said that love was terrifying and tender, wild and sweet, and none of it made any sense.
But now I knew that every mad word was true. For Ignifex was still himself, still mocking and wild and inhuman, terrible as a legion arrayed for war; but in my arms he became gentle, and his kisses were sweeter than wine.
Shade, Astraia and Nyx's father can all go to hell because i really hated them. Shade, i understood why he has to be annoying and deceiving but he still got on my nerves. Astraia is just a spoiled brat that's used to having everything she wants and the Father is a selfish prick. But put them all together in order to destroy Nyx and Ignifex and it's one hell of a plot!

Cruel Beauty is going to leave you giddy and amazed at how a book with such a bad ending can turn out so damn well!! Rosamund just entered my list of amazing authors...

A Little Too Hot (A Little Too Far, #3) by Lisa Desrochers. Book Review + SPOILERS

ebook, 284 pages
Published January 21st 2014 by William Morrow Impulse

ISBN: 0062299050

If you play with fire…

Tossed out of college and cut off by her parents, Samantha West is in pretty dire straits. So when her rocker best friend hooks her up with a job dancing at a gentlemen’s club, who is she to turn it down? Plus, there are rules to dancing at Benny’s: No touching, keep your clothes on at all times, and never get closer than three feet. Unfortunately for Sam, her first private client makes her want to break every single one of them.

Harrison Yates is scorching hot, but he’s got a past that involves being left at the altar not too long ago. Sam is determined to make him forget about his ex, but when she makes her move, it flings her life into a spiral of chaos she never saw coming.

Because Harrison Yates isn't who he seems to be. And his secret will probably get her killed.

Book Review:

Too Hot indeed...  The cover is perfect, The book Blurb makes us wanna die from curiosity and the actual book was amazing! I am not a great fan of books about good coops but this one taught me that good boys can rock it out too...

The story is really interesting even though i could not like it in the beginning because it had too many loopholes, but then we understand why and that's part of the BIG secret. The book itself never stops on action. First someone gets shot at, Then the big corrupt guys come along and then it's family drama time! The plot is so well written with an easy writing that never gets boring and characters that won't get on your nerves (much anyways)...

Sam is the supposed "bad girl" being expelled from her parent's house because she partied too much and then who ended at a gentleman's club and then at a witness protection programme... and more i won't give away. She's cool and she's funny with her wits and answers filled with sarcasm that will get the humor flowing. I just think that to the guy that posted her in that situation she should have been more of a bitch (She did try though) instead of jumping into bed with him...
It seems the only thing I can control is Blake’s frustration level, so from this moment forward, I pledge to channel all of my energy into finding creative ways to make his life miserable.
So far it’s going pretty well
Blake (love his name) is a lying bastard. But a really Hot lying bastard. His secret is pretty easy to guess if you're paying attention but you can't help but being surprised when it happens. We will only get bits and pieces from time to time from this guy's past because he's a box full of surprises but when we do it just made me like him even more!

Jonathan is my hero! Finally a guy friend who isn't gay and is there for everything Sam needs. He's a perfect friend and i really wanted the next book to be about him. NOW.

A Little Too Hot is nothing short of badass! Loved it. Loved it.

Grace Lost (Grace, #1) by M. Lauryl Lewis... Book Review and First Zombie of the Year!!

Published September 25th 2012 by M. Lauryl Lewis

Twenty-year-old Zoe Kate is young and naïve, and quite frankly a loner. When her lifelong friend, Adam Boggs, comes home for the summer they find themselves thrust into the middle of a zombie plague. As they flee their hometown in hopes of finding safety, they come across two other survivors, Emilie and Gus. The group of four quickly form bonds and must make difficult choices at every turn in order to stay alive. They will witness unimaginable horrors and experience unthinkable losses as life and death mix together in ways that were never meant to be. Things aren't always as they seem when God's Grace has been Lost to humanity.~

(Intended for mature audiences due to language, graphic horror, and sexual content)

Book Review:

FORGET EVERYTHING YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT ZOMBIES BECAUSE THEY JUST GOT SMART! Yup, we're talking smart as in i-will-set-a-trap-for-the-weak-little-humans-just-so-i-can-catch-them-and-eat-their-brains-slowly smart... I never thought i would like these types of zombies because it's weird but M. Lauryl totally rocked them.

I find that Zombie books are actually quite addicting and the grosser the better! But Beware because this book is beyond gross! The description of the people being eaten and the slowly decaying zombies with limbs missing and even with only half of their faces are just so realistic... i actually gagged a few times. The situations were actually things that we would do in these circumstances (like i would know) and not being dumb/reckless and the scenes set all the moods for the creepy world taken by flesh eating zombies... Just so Creepily perfect!

Boggs, that’s a stupid question,” I snapped.  “Half a dead guy trying to eat you is a bit more than just ‘odd.’”   I was at my breaking point for the day.
“No, I mean there was no odor.  He didn’t smell like he’d been dead long.  And where were his legs?”  Boggs opened his eyes to look at me in the mirror.  “It’s almost like he was put there as a trap.  Like they killed him and ate his fucking lower half and left the rest to distract us.”

Another first for me is having the leading girl feeling the zombies hungers, knowing where they're hiding and even thinking... WOW and it's totally new and awesome. Zoe is amazing and actually helps out everyone instead of just moping (usual zombie book girl) around and doing nothing all day. She is so strong but there are times when she breaks down and that really helped understand her and making me like her as much as i do now. But i still think that she's as dumb as they get because of how the end went for her...
"Can you still feel them? ”
I shook my head no.  “No, they’re gone.  Gus."  I looked him in the eyes to get his full attention.  “They’re using one of us.  A human.  As bait.  I saw it in their thoughts.  They keep one of us alive and make them walk the road till someone driving by stops to help.”
“Shit,” said Boggs from the driver’s seat.  “You sure Zoe?”
I sniffled, my nose starting to run from crying.  “I’m positive.  And the family from the minivan.  They took them into the woods.  God, they tore them apart while they were still alive.

I still don't understand Boggs because i can't see if he's going to hurt Zoe or actually stick with her... I can't read him very well but i know that he's kind of awesome at surviving. He was the first one to say to gather water and supplies and get the hell out of civilization (normally they're just stupid) to survive. But until i gt a full opinion on him i'll wait for the next book and then i'll see.

Emilie and Gus are just the perfect example of people that found their equal only when the world went to shit. And without them many people that came out in the end alive would be definitely dead by now. They give so much to the book and i only hope that we get to see more of their relationship and actual life...

There will be gruesome losses of really nice people, there will be gun shootings that will be a mind blow (Literally), loads of romance and even more horror. Grace Lost may be my one of the best zombie books that also support a kick ass cover!!

The Dimitrakos Proposition by Lynne Graham. Book Review: LOVED IT!

Paperback, 192 pages
Published December 17th 2013 by Harlequin

ISBN: 0373132077

A man she can't say "no" to

Sharp-tongued, independent firestorm Tabby Glover will do anything to get Greek billionaire Acheron Dimitrakos to support her adoption claim over his cousin's small child. The last thing she expects is his outrageous marriage proposal!

She has no choice but to say yes, even if the arrogant tycoon can't stop looking down his nose at her for one minute! Tabby can see that there is more to this proposition and this devastatingly handsome man than meets the eye. But as the thin veil between truth and lies is lifted, will this marriage become more than in name only?

Book Review...

The Dimitrakos Proposition is one of those book that you can't close until it's completely done and even after that it will leave you with a smile on your face for the rest of the day... It's just sweet as hell with a hard edge (car chases, creepy threats in mirrors and a stalker) to it that will make you smitten to the story. Lynne Graham did a wonderful job!!

For a story that started out so bitter with everyone (Acheron) being a complete ASSHOLE i was not expecting it to end so freaking well... But you know what? It wouldn't work any other way. These characters are not the type where you just like them instantly. No, in here the author introduces them slowly and makes us see how different they are so we are like: No way this is going to work out!!! And THEN she brings out the Big Guns and we start to see what drives them and a bit of their personality come undone with each other and then is when we really begin to understand them and really enjoy them.  I love how it wasn't an instant, unreal love between the characters and instead they took their time in getting to know each other better and actually accepting that they were in love...

I always like to see a girl with a sharp mouth who isn't afraid to let go (even around a cocky billionaires) and Tabby nailed it!!! I can not get sick of seeing this girl who has nothing and came from nothing giving her all to keep a little girl that she loves. She showed so much compassion and  determination to make it that she blew me away and i kept wanting to see more and more of her. She's addicting. But Tabby is really a stubborn character as well which clashed so bad with the hard demeanor of Acheron.

Acheron is so cold in the beginning and i really thought that i wouldn't be able to like him at all and then he opened his mouth and i disliked him even more... BUT then he met the little girl and his heart warmed a little and after that he fell in love he went from an hateful bastard to an oh-my-god-it's-hot-in-here guy and i'm smitten now!! But until we get there it's going to be an hell of a hard road because this guy is cocky, really stubborn and a millionaire. But in the end you just can't get enough.

Lynne Graham just rocked my world with this tiny book that took over my feelings and emotions and owned them! This book is sinful and enchanting and the ending was just perfect... Let me tell you that if you haven't read this book yet you better get to it now!

Searching For Someday (Searching For, #1) by Jennifer Probst. Book Review FINALLY!!!

ebook, 384 pages
Published November 26th 2013 by Simon and Schuster

ISBN 1476744971

Kate has given up on love—at least for herself. She is both blessed and cursed with the ability to sense a romantic connection between two people—a gift that her family passed down for generations. When Kate launches her own matchmaking company, Kinnection, with her two best friends in a cozy New York town, she has to put aside her own romantic disasters to make her business a success.

But when a furious man stalks into her office and accuses her business of being a scam, Kate is given the ultimate challenge to prove herself. Slade puts himself in her hands and asks Kate to find him love. Enraged at his arrogance but stubbornly eager to prove herself, Kate agrees, dedicating herself to the journey of finding him love...only to find herself falling for him along the way.

Book Review:

I think i'm in love!!!! Searching for Someday is a beautiful start to a new series that will surely melt our hearts. I never read anything by Jennifer Probst but i did heard she was kind of a matchmaker made in heaven and hells yes she is! Slade and Kate are probably one of the sweetest, most unlikely-to-happen-no-way-in-hell couples EVER which makes everything DOUBLE THE FUN!

The book is so simple and minimalistic but it really can portray so many feelings, so many emotions that it amazed me. It isn't a book that you will cry over (unless you're a really sad person) but you see yourself in the characters and connect with some situations of our daily life. The story may be simple but this touch of Magic that Kate has adds so much emphasis to everything and just makes the story exciting. And not to mention that this Book is super funny with a lawyer versus a matchmaker in a relationship... Yap, it's bound to be a hard road...
Yeah, a matchmaker and a divorce lawyer. That’s got success written all over it
Kate has this gift that allows her to always match the right people for Life and all i can say is that i am extremely jealous... She's just a simple character that through simple words and gestures she can say SOO much and i got to see that she's kind and generous but has that Spark that always ignites when Slade is around!!! Oh, and i loved to see her stutter when she's nervous... it's so cute.

Slade is a skeptic in matchmaking that only went to that Kinnections to prove that it was a fraud. (You sneaky little man) But instead got out of there with a mate for life and that was funny to see because we got that evolution from a work driven, cold lawyer to a caring and dedicated lover. OH yeah and he's hot as fuck.
He was in love with Kate.
The knowledge sank in and tore at his flesh like talons. No. Not possible. He didn’t believe in love, or at least not in love that lasted. She’d wreck him to pieces and make his existence a mess. She’d turn him upside down and inside out and never stay in the carefully drawn lines of his life
Okay, Jennifer Probst just Blew my mind with only 384 pages... She can do SO MUCH WITH SO LITTLE! Now i just have to wait patiently (freaking out already) for the next book and hope that it's as good as this one, which is a hard thing to beat.

The Echoes of Love by Hannah Fielding Book Review!!

NetGalley 360 pages
Published December 6th 2013 by London Wall Publishing

ISBN : 0992671833

Set against the breathtaking beauty of Italy, The Echoes of Love is a passionate, heart-breaking romance to ignite the senses and rekindle your belief in the power of love.

Seduction, passion and secrets... Venetia Aston-Montagu has escaped to Venice to work in her godmother's architectural practice, putting a lost love behind her. For the past ten years she has built a fortress around her heart, only to find the walls tumbling down one night of the carnival when she is rescued from masked assailants by an enigmatic stranger, Paolo Barone.

Drawn to the powerfully seductive Paolo, despite warnings of his Don Juan reputation and rumours that he keeps a mistress, Venetia can't help being caught up in the smouldering passion that ignites between them. When she finds herself assigned to a project at his magnificent home deep in the Tuscan countryside, Venetia not only faces a beautiful young rival but also a sinister count and dark forces in the shadows (Who's the dark forces? I still don't get it... ), determined to come between them. Can Venetia trust that love will triumph, even over her own demons? Or will Paolo's carefully guarded, devastating secret tear them apart forever?

Book Review:

OMFG!! (Yes, it's OMFG worthy!!!) I am really surprised right now!!! Just finished this book and the ending made me feel dumb... It's so easy to figure out but it's also something that you see that it's not possible so it doesn't even crosses your mind. I really enjoyed this book and i swear that it will feel like you're in Venice whilst you're reading it... It's THAT nicely written.

The story itself is really good. Unreal but good. One of the things i didn't liked the most was the story happening in 2000. Or it's happening in the past or in the present, otherwise it just made the book bland for the awesome story behind it. I had a hard time getting into the book because it's too much at first... It's too many descriptions, way too many words for one simple thing and too many clichés - Like Venetia getting robbed and BAM mystery guy comes along and saves her or how Paolo instantly falls in love with her - which now i understand why but in the beginning makes no sense and could be spaced out more... But when you get used to this type of story telling is so much easier to read the whole book in one sitting!! And you will, because the rest of the story is sneaky as hell and completely amazing with all the secrets that will drive you crazy!

I loved the characters and the author did a beautiful work building them slowly and introducing them in a really mysterious way that just left me begging for more. They were so different from each other creating so many clashes to spice everything up. I loved them.

Venetia was an independent woman that supported this philosophy "i-don't-need-any-man-to-support-me-or-i-don't-need-to-be-married-to-succeed-in-life"... And i support her fully!! She was so strong with a really hard past that i really enjoyed reading about, though i admit she really pushed my nerves sometimes because she's so independent but it's like she can't defend herself and always needs Paolo to do it for her...

Warning: Paolo is one of the mysteries that will only be solved in the final pages and if i was him i would have kicked Allegra to the curb ages ago. My god, this guy can be naive as hell. I did not like him as much as Venetia, but he did have his charming ways.... Such  as being super romantic (seriously, i never met a more romantic character) and having really drool worthy quotes. But he's a character that i found really hard to understand and to like.

I didn't know who Hannah Fielding was before this book but trust me that I DO NOW! I will definitely will be on the lookout for more of her books because The Echoes of Love promised and delivered and when i need a really good romantic story and need to travel i just have to go to Hannah FIelding's books and BAM!

Before Jamaica Lane (On Dublin Street, #3) by Samantha Young. Book Review + Quotes

Published January 7th 2014 by NAL
352 Pages

One simple lesson in seduction between two friends can turn into so much more…

Despite her outgoing demeanor, Olivia is painfully insecure around the opposite sex—usually, she can’t get up the nerve to approach guys she’s interested in. But moving to Edinburgh has given her a new start, and, after she develops a crush on a sexy postgrad, she decides it’s time to push past her fears and go after what she wants.

Nate Sawyer is a gorgeous player who never commits, but to his close friends, he’s as loyal as they come. So when Olivia turns to him with her relationship woes, he offers to instruct her in the art of flirting and to help her become more sexually confident.

The friendly education in seduction soon grows into an intense and hot romance. But then Nate’s past and commitment issues rear their ugly heads, and Olivia is left broken-hearted. When Nate realizes he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he will have to work harder than he ever has before to entice his best friend into falling back in love with him—or he may lose her forever…

Book Review:

These Books always break my heart a thousand times but leave me with a smile on my face in the very end. No one can beat Samantha Young when it comes to spicy romance and sexy time... She's the all mighty Queen of the Dublin Street so it's always really hard to make one of the three books the best because they were all amazing and we had those characters that were all flawed but worked so well together. But Before Jamaica Lane was beyond everything i was expecting and truly something to look out for.

This book is so exciting. We've got Olivia, a twenty-six year old librarian (she had to be a librarian which was really cool) that is very insecure when it comes to her own body and when talking to guys she just can't form a single sentence (Lots of funny scenes that had me laughing so badly) . So in comes Nate, the guy that gets every girl he wants with his smooth talk and that is the total opposite of Olivia (He's SOOOO hot). Though strangely they are best friends and get along like it's nobody's business with their geeky talks and dirty jokes (Lots of dirty jokes!!!)... And one day Olivia gets enough of not being able to have a guy and decides to ask Nate for Help in EVERYTHING (if you know what i mean...) about kissing, talking and even in bed. And the trouble Begins...
We both felt free to be who we were around each other, and we’d bonded over two things. One was our sense of humor. We were both a little nutty. Second was our inner geek. We both embraced our inner geek
I loved these two because we have the funny parts of them but they have this deep story of their past that bonds them and that will make you truly love them. Olivia lost her mother to Cancer not too long ago and Nate lost his first love to cancer as well when he was eighteen, so they know how to support each other and they are always there for everything... And from that they start to form a friendship than then turns into something more that Nate does not want to admit and Olivia can't give up on.

Nate is this carefree guy from the very beginning and that almost always hides behind a cocky attitude what he's really feeling. I loved seeing how he cherished his friendship with Olivia and the lengths he'll go to not destroy that... it's endearing. But, i also think that he liked her from the very first moment he laid his eyes on her and then after a few years he started to love her but got stuck on his promise to the only girl he admitted to love and couldn't give that to Olivia. (Which formed many heartbreaking moments).
I took it all and held on to it for a while.
And he let me.
Because I think he knew that it wouldn’t be long before he yanked it all away from me

Oh my god i don't know how to start with Olivia because she cracks me up everytime she opens her mouth... Seriously, a guy is hitting on her and she doesn't even realises it and when they actually talk to her she just stands there. She's an amazing character that was introduced as well as Nate into the Dublin Street gang and fit in so well. She's funny but she's also got a story behind her and she's really easy to understand and to like because many girls will be able to put themselves into her place. I Loved how we could see how much she grew during the book from an insecure girl to a confident and amazing woman that wasn't afraid to fight.
‘I’m going to die alone, Nate.’
And as unconsciousness pulled me toward it, I thought I heard him whisper, ‘Not on my watch, babe '
‘I thought you loved him.’
‘I do. I’m very much in love with him. But he won’t ever allow himself to love me the way he loved Alana. She was his big love. I want to be someone’s big love, Dad. I think I deserve to have the man I love love me back just as much.’
The Gang!!! Joss and Jo, Braden and Cam, Ellie and Cole!!!! I love that we still get tiny pieces of them and the continuation of their life's and even though it's not much, it's enough to keeps us happy and amazed. This book has so many strong emotions for Joss and Braden mainly (You'll see) and i am soooo excited about that!!!! All of them together form outstanding romances and show us that true love really does exist... The real world could learn a thing or two with these books.
‘Do you like roses, Adam?’ Joss asked, grinning mischievously at Ellie.
Adam blinked as he was drawn out of his discussion with Braden. ‘Sorry?’
‘Roses? For your wedding? Ellie wants them.’
‘Ellie can have what she wants.’
Looking a little nonplussed, Joss asked, ‘You don’t have a say in it?’
He frowned. ‘Nope. My only job is to turn up and say “I do.” ’
Joss made a face at Braden, who looked as though he was trying really hard not to laugh. ‘How come Adam gets the job I wanted in our wedding?’
Braden’s mouth twitched. ‘You could have had that job. I did offer to do everything myself.’
‘But …’ She glanced from him to Ellie to Adam. ‘There was definite emotional manipulation involved. Ellie’s not doing that to Adam.
Before Jamaica Lane is one of the best books that will make your day a lot better. You love it. You hate it. And in the end you learn so much with it. Samantha Young has an amazing capacity to build timeless stories and create characters that will stick with you... I love her.

Come to Me Quietly (Closer To You, #1) by A. L. Jackson. Small Book Review

Paperback, 384 pages
Published January 7th 2014 by NAL Trade

ISBN 0451467965

Aleena Moore is content with her life. She has goals and dreams and an easy smile. She also has a secret she holds locked inside.

Jared Holt believes he doesn't deserve to love or be loved. He destroys everything he touches. Haunted by the mistake that shattered his life, he’s fled from the memory of that pain.

Jared doesn’t know why he’s compelled to return, but finds himself drawn back to the place where it all began.  When he runs into his childhood best friend, Aleena’s older brother Christopher, he agrees to share Christopher and Aleena’s apartment while he looks for a place of his own.

Aleena is no longer the little girl Jared remembers from his past and evokes feelings in him he never wanted to feel again. Terrified of destroying her, he fights to keep her away.

Their pasts are intertwined and their futures uncertain. The only truths they know are the secrets they whisper in the night.

Book Review:

Older Brother best friend? High school crush and people filled with dark secrets? For a book with such a good blurb it was kind of bland and i feel it could have been much more than this. It didn't had me jumping with excitement but i don't hate it either. It's just Normal.  Come to Me Quietly has a really simple story that will help you pass the time but the characters are really worth reading because they are SO well written...

The story of the high school best friends and all the crushes really made me not be able to stop reading the book because at the same time it showed us some of the episodes of their past as kids and why they liked each other. But i couldn't love this story because it's too surreal and focus too much on the whole cliché business.... And for the first few chapters that was okay but in the end it tired me so badly!

Aleena is a bland little perfect girl that used to be this awkward teen but now is a beautiful woman and then lots of words on how the guy loved her hair, and how she's so perfect and blah blah blah... See? Some of her attitudes are really what had me rolling my eyes every second  and made me not pay attention to her throughout the rest of the story.

Jared is all about how he always loved his best friends' little sister, about what he did in the past (That we don't know until basically the end of the book) and how he can't have her because he will destroy her but then goes to bed with her. It's all very pretty but i feel like i've seen that somewhere else... SEVERAL TIMES! Besides he was putting himself down ALL THE TIME because of his past!!!! I was getting grumpy by just reading about it...

Christopher is annoying as hell and he should get his jealousy checked along with his big fat ego. I hated him and for a brother, man he could be a real jerk but he DID brought some bickering scenes to spice up the story...

I don't know if the problem is me but this book bugged me in the wrong way.  I didn't get it and even eating chocolate at the same time i couldn't like it.

He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have.

Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets.
My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight.
And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same.

Book Review:

Can people please stop comparing book to Fifty Shades of Grey and Bared to you? Because if a book is good then it has to be good on it's own, not compared and try to look like them to be good. But in this case not even with the comparison works... If i would judge this book by the cover and the book blurb then it would be an A+ but Wanted didn't work at all as a story. I hate to say that a book was bad, but Wanted was just too damn annoying.

Everything about this book is NOT interesting. The storyline is mediocre without a really good idea to work with and when it was mentioned illegal business and dark secrets of the past i was expecting something to surprise me... But it turns out that the dark secrets are basically something that you can guess with a snap of your fingers and the illegal business are legal after all... (asides from one SMALL thingie that doesn't even take two pages to work out). Disappointed? Hell yeah!

I can't even talk about the main girl. Lina or Angie. She has NO personality. NO convictions. NO interests and she's confused about her whole career most of the time and can't just assume to her parents that she wants something different. Not to mention she is an adrenaline junkie... Her whole background story is pretty interesting if J. Kenner had written about a girl that was likable and not bland.  I could not stand her and kept rolling my eyes throughout everything she said. And did i mentioned her OH's? Oh that... Oh this... She couldn't stop so every answer to a question or sentence was a Oh.
 “Oh,” I repeated stupidly.
“Oh.” I swallowed, suddenly feeling very warm.

Evan was not good because it was too stuck on the stereotype! Yes, we love our bad boys millionaire but make them new and exciting! Not boring and Been-there-Done-That. I just didn't connect with him at all. The only thing that appeared in the ending and could have made him amazing was his sister that only had two pages for her... But Evan was too predictable. You could guess what he would say or do and he's too inconsistent so i gave up trying to like him. And his scenes with Angie were way too forced and not hot at all but rather mechanical.
We touched only in two places—lips and knees—and yet every inch of skin on my body crackled with banked electricity, as if Evan were a storm and I’d been caught unawares.
There was one thing that i loved: Cole and Tyler! I seriously want the next books are about this two so we can get some real action!

I was so disappointed with the Author of the Stark Trilogy! She wrote so many amazing book with great characters but this one really did nothing for her. It was boring and plain and totally not the usual Hot and filled with passion stories that J. Kenner gives us

See Jane Run by Hannah Jayne. Book Review.

Published January 7th 2014 by Sourcebooks Fire

288 Pages
ISBN: 1402282451

I know who you are.

When Riley first gets the postcard tucked into her bag, she thinks it's a joke. Then she finds a birth certificate for a girl named Jane Elizabeth O'Leary hidden inside her baby book.

Riley's parents have always been pretty overprotective. What if it wasn't for her safety...but fear of her finding out their secret? What have they been hiding? The more Riley digs for answers, the more questions she has.

The only way to know the truth? Find out what happened to Jane O'Leary.

Book Review...

From the author of Truly, Madly, Deadly and after liking that book so bad i was expecting something better than this. See Jane Run is definitely a book to help you pass the time but asides from that it's nothing special... The characters are bland and all alike, the scenes seem too cliché and the story could use a bit more development. Come on Hannah, you can do so much better!

This book has an amazing secret that should be deepened! But instead of the story being about the secret, exploring it and wow us with it... No, it was just about Riley's ability to whine about everything... It was like a face slap that this book did not deserve.

Riley (Jane) is the one playing Sherlock Holmes through the entire book, including going to a different city by herself to ask questions about a birth certificate she found in her parents room instead of going straight to the parents... Not realizing she was being followed even though the same guy kept appearing near her city after city... Jumping to the conclusion that the birth certificate meant that she was kidnapped. Yap, i would just like to say: Quit that job Riley. You're no good at it!!! All the work she had to do because she thought that her parents would not like her asking questions was wasted and she was dumb because she basically put everyone in danger and in the end the ones telling her the secret were her parents... So it was all for nothing. YAY, not.

The Parents need to have a lesson on: How to never leave things out in the open when you have a teenager in the house!!! Guess what? If you didn't want her to know then you should have hidden it better and not judge Riley's curiosity. Just saying.
   He was a liar.
They were all liars.
And now they were forcing her to be one
"The help" is the guy that will try to put some romance in this but did just the opposite. I could not stand him and his story as well. It was too big a coincidence for everything to happen and for him to be put in the middle. And what was Shelby for? To put ideas in Riley's mind? Because that was all she did, and bad ideas on top of everything. I really wanted some easy going barely-there romance and a friend that could support and even fight a little bit....

This book was a definite letdown. The story had some badass ideas that could have been turned into something spectacular if the whole story didn't revolve around Riley and her rebel attitudes. I was waiting for so much more and i won't give up until i find it...

Addicted to You (Addicted, #1) by Krista and Becca Ritchie... Book Review!

Kindle Edition, 324 pages
Published July 1st 2013 by K.B. Ritchie (first published June 13th 2013)
more details... ASIN: B00DE5EBZ8

She’s addicted to sex. He’s addicted to booze…the only way out is rock bottom.

No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway’s biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.

Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they've pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They've mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But as they sink beneath the weight of their addictions, they cling harder to their destructive relationship and wonder if a life together, for real, is better than a lie. Strangers and family begin to infiltrate their guarded lives, and with new challenges, they realize they may not just be addicted to alcohol and sex.

Their real vice may be each other.

Book Review:

Great, this book is all about overcoming addictions and i just gained a new one! This Book! Thanks a lot, Krista and Becca! I cannot even describe how much i enjoyed this book. It's has so much Drama, booze and sex topped with an intensity that makes it different from anything else you've read before.
He’s here. I’m here.
That’s all we need.
It’s our greatest lie.

Addicted to You really portrays amazingly the addiction to booze and to sex. Lo and Lilly. Their need to fulfill their addictions is written is a way that makes us understand the rush they get whenever they get it and still lets us know that they're doing a bad thing, yet it doesn't let you judge. Even if you wanted you couldn't. Because you get  to know these two so well and understand why they crave it...

This book is beautifully written in a way that will leave you breathless because every chapter is more intense than the previous one. First you get them at the peak of their addiction and not wanting to admit what they feel for each other. Then they get together as a real couple after facing their feelings and because of that their addictions start kicking in into full force and destroying them. And last but not least you see them trying to get better but not succeeding because it's too much now and they finally will ask for help. It's too much all the time but it works for their story! It's amazing how many feelings of needing, despair and want the authors could put into simple words.
He rubs my tears with his thumb. “I love you, but I want to love you enough that I never choose alcohol over you. Not even for a moment. I want to be someone you deserve. Who helps you rather than enables you, and I can’t begin to do that until I get help for myself.”

Lilly has no trigger that made her crave sex. She's still trying to understand her obsession but she can't see where it came from and that's why she will be the hardest one to get help but the easiest one to understand. If that makes sense... You'll never know just from looking at her that she's a sex addict, mainly because she blushes a deep shade of red each time a boy is mentioned and has a shy personality!!! I loved her as a character but she had my head spinning when her one night stands could have ended much worse and even got her hurt... She could be reckless!
I would have liked him to say, sleep with me, I want to be with you, for real. Hell yes, I would have replied. Even if monogamy scares me more than anything, I would try it. For the whole purpose of having Loren Hale. I think I’ve always wanted it. With him. But I’m not so sure he feels the same.
Lo reminds me of Adrian from VA but a much worse case in a slightly more intense guy. He has the addiction to booze and he's stubborn as hell, so you'll see that it won't be easy to make him admit he has a problem.... His trigger? His controlling, moron of a father.  Every Time he's stressed or upset he picks up a bottle and drinks himself into oblivion... I hated seeing Loren like this. This book makes us grow fonder of a caring, loving guy that always supports his girl but also has an awful side that comes out a little too much. I think he's the worst of these two because his health is actually in danger for all the times he gets drunk from the age of thirteen with heavy booze. And to top that the book is super hard on him and all of the secrets that will shock us is also connected in some way to him. But, he still manages to look annoyingly hot throughout all of this.
He pats his lap. “Come here.” His amber eyes swim with mischievousness.
“I’m not dressed,” I retort. And the spot between my legs already pulses too heavily to be in touching distance of him. The thought electrifies my nerves.
“You’re wearing a robe,” Lo rebuts. “I’ve seen you naked plenty of times.”
“When we were kids,” I retort.
“And I’m sure your breasts haven’t grown since then.”
My mouth falls. “Oh, you are…” I find a pillow on the nearby chair and start assaulting him with it.
Connor and Ryke and Rose are the ultimate supporters! I loved them (well, maybe not Ryke because he was a smug bastard) but all of them had something unique to offer and always tried to help them even though they were refused many times... I do want to see more of Connor and Rose, mainly because now they are in a relationship and i feel like the world is going to explode from that.

I really hope the next book brings something better for these two because this was one mistake after mistake that lead into a big Clusterfuck... But i have high Hopes that Krista and Becca feel sorry for us and give us something fantastic next!

 Published January 2nd 2014

***Author Note: This is not a love story. This is a story of love gone wrong.***

Growing up the way I did, you'd think I'd be more screwed up than what I actually am. Soon as I turned sixteen, I left that bump in the road I called home and took my chances on the street. Best decision I ever made.

Now, at the age of twenty six, I'm educated, employed and damn good at my job. My friends have become my family. Like me, they know what it’s like to grow up unloved.

But the saying is true. The world makes way for those who know where they are going. That’s me. I know where I’m going and I’ll get there eventually. On my own terms and at my own pace.

But then there’s him. I feel his eyes on me. I see him hiding in plain sight. He watches me.

He makes me feel. It’s unconventional. But it’s real.I’m sure you’re wondering how a person falls in love with their stalker. So am I.

This isn’t a story. This is my life

Book Review:

I cannot stop the blubbering mess i'm in right now and i've finished the book about an hour ago. Yes, IT HAS ONE OF THOSE ENDINGS. (Those ending that leave you feeling hopelessly sad and very angry, followed by loads of crying and ice cream). You know that RAW not going to have a happy ending because it already tell us in the description of the book but you keep on hoping... The thing is, that Belle doesn't care about our hopes and smashed them anyways.
He ushers me in, gives the driver my address, then says to me sadly, “Not everyone can be a fairy-tale hero.” He pauses a moment, then adds, “The world needs villains too.”

This book is totally fucked up and it will fuck with your head and with your feelings until you can't see straight because at the same time it's uniqueness blow us apart. Its one of those books when in one minute everything is well and then all has gone to hell and exploded in our faces. I am Loving Belle Aurora right now because this book is a fucking masterpiece, i don't know how she did it but damn she's a genius. She writes it in a way that makes us so attached to the characters, like Lexi and Twitch mainly, that when something happens to them it literally messes with you too. It's a personal story that had me feeling more engrossed each time i turned a page and You won't be able to stop it once you've started it because it's so full of secrets and misleads that it's going to obsess you in finding out everything you can... And that's why Belle is a literary god.

I am still coping with Twitch's ending because it's mad and even a bit selfish. But i know it's only my angry self talking because it was one of the most selfless things i've ever see someone doing... But it's just makes it ten times sadder.

Twitch or Tony is the perfect damaged character. He's crazy, angry and very intense and he's also a drug dealer. THE BOSS. He starts out at being Lexis's stalker which also made me go like: WTF? Why is this guy stalking her, doesn't he have anything else to do? But when we start to see his motives we realize that besides crazy he's obsessed with the past  and only wants to be able to control and possess Lexi. And then, when we start seeing a more personal side of him is bad and out of control but as soon as Lexi starts to get a hold of him, and accepting him for who he is you see a transformation... And suddenly the angry guy that has nothing to hold on to is trying to be better for himself and for Lexi. This is what i call a great Character because it gives us the bad with an intensity you've never seen before turning it into something good.
I could say I was just a damaged kid that grew up to be a broken man.
I could. But I won’t.
I don’t like labels. I won’t be defined by words like normal, unbalanced, or damaged. There’s so much more to me than words. I have layers, just like the next person, and if you picked me apart layer-by-layer, you’d find a blackened crust where my heart should be. But ever since Lexi came into my life, a thin bud of greenery sprouted there, giving me hope that even I could be the person who makes someone’s day better.

I confess that i was expecting a meh type of girl that would be cute and shit but had no real importance... Because when sometimes you have a strong guy the girl falters behind. Shit, i was wrong. Lexi is full of character and strength that is notable during the entire book but mainly in the end where she gives us everything she's got... She ran away from home when she was seventeen and now helps the kids who have no one else to rely on and live on the street or in halfway houses, so you see a really selfless side to her and how close she gets to those kids which was what made me like her in the first place. I thought it was weird that she had a stalker that made her feel "secure" but that was only in the beginning because after that i was like: i kind of want a stalker like that too... Little does she know that she's met her stalker when she was a kid and that information kept me from hating on her for being reckless. Also, this girl needs and thrives on being possessed and needs to feel someone there for her that will catch her and support her, but she won't stand there and listen to orders... You see the fightings this is going to lead to? Yap, she's full of fire.
I don’t want a knight in shining armor.
I want a knight in scuffed armor. I want his helmet to have dents.
I want my knight to be real, and dark, and savage. I want my knight to be a survivor. Someone who’s been tested and got through his trials.
Not some pussy in gleaming metal. I don’t want gleaming metal. I don’t need a fucking knight.
I need a fearless warrior.
I need Twitch.

Now i know why Happy is called Happy... If you know what i mean. I want more of him! Like, an entire book! I loved him because he was always so helpful to everyone and so nice but mean at the same time, with his misleading words.

There are a lot of minor character that i wished we had time to get to know better but asides from that this book it's timed perfectly with an unforgettable story!

Belle promises and delivers us a fantastic book that everyone should get their hands on to support this awesome author! And yes i'm still crying...

ACID by Emma Pass. Book Review. This Cover is BADASS!

Published April 25th 2013 by Corgi Children's Books  (first published March 11th 2013)
431 Pages.
ISBN: 0552566144

The year is 2113. In Jenna Strong's world, ACID—the most brutal controlling police force in history—rule supreme. No throwaway comment or whispered dissent goes unnoticed—or unpunished. And it was ACID agents who locked Jenna away for life, for a horrendous crime she struggles to remember. But Jenna's violent prison time has taught her how to survive by any means necessary.

When a mysterious rebel group breaks her out, she must use her strength, speed, and skill to stay one step ahead of ACID, and try to uncover the truth about what really happened on that terrible night two years ago. They have taken her life, her freedom, and her true memories away from her. How can she reclaim anything when she doesn't know who to trust?

Book Review:

I've been meaning to read this book for about two months but it always got pushed back but finally it's done! I do love some good action in a futuristic world (London in this case)  story where everyone is a badass with their guns and fight moves... Something different and well written. And ACID was just that and MORE! In every page there's something awesome happening, new gadgets to wow us and Jenna's courage to make us roll our eyes and cheer for her, but what's even better is that everything is written is a realistic way that will literally transport you into the book.
ACID – the most brutal police force in history.
They rule with an iron fist. They see everything. They know everything. They locked me away for life.
My crime? They say I murdered my parents. I was fifteen years old.
My name is Jenna Strong.
London in here is really futuristic. It has ACID, which is a team to ensure that everyone is following the rules of society and being extremely loyal to them... Even to the point that if someone even speaks against them or is even suspected to plot against them, ACID will find a ways to charge them with a major crime like murder or something and put them in jail for life... Which is the major problem in here for Jenna because she thinks she killed her parents over a boy but since the beginning that story didn't sit well with me and in the ending i figured why. Also, there is LifePartners which is for all of the sixteens/seventeens year olds to being given a life with a husband, a job, a house and even being told when to have a baby... (That would surely solve a lot of our worries...) It's really cool when you start to get involved in this world and seeing all the new things.

I don't know what to call the main girl because she changed her name more times than i can count... She's Jenna, then she's Jess and Mia... My god, poor girl. And her face also changed to accommodate all of those names which is awesome because we should totally have that kind of plastic surgery that takes an hour and leaves zero scars. She was a pretty consistent character in the whole book so she remained a badass until the end, but her whole life story and even her mind is confusing... If you're not paying attention you can skip out on major details that you will miss later to understand.

I hate Max. He did not fit in this book at all, not as character and even not as a person because he did absolutely nothing to help... He depended on Jenna for everything and even in the end he turns against her... He's ungrateful and i did not liked him at all and he was kind of unnecessary. I liked Jacob better. I know that without a bit of romance the book would drag a bit but Emma could have written a more interesting boy. That could fight at least.

This cannot end this way. It just can't because the end definitely gave us motive to have another book! So, Emma Pass, you really have to write it! You can't leave us like that without knowing if that was Jacob or not... Puuuuulease...

ACID Warning: If you haven't read the book you have to read it now because it's spectacular! It's and order!

Wrong Side of Town (With Me, #3) by Komal Kant. 2014 1st BOOK REVIEW!

Published in October 26th 2013 by Komal Kant

Estella Markson is a good girl. She studies hard, stays out of trouble, and is struggling to hold together her family that is falling apart because of her alcoholic father.

Vincent Madden is the guy your mother warned you to stay away from. He doesn’t follow the rules, is in a notorious motorcycle gang, and doesn’t care if he breaks the law or someone’s bones.

After a chance encounter, Vincent starts to take an interest in the innocent girl who is so different to him. Despite Vincent’s infamous reputation, Estella is also intrigued by him. There is something about this bad boy that gives her an escape from her world of problems, and she can’t stay away.

Even as they struggle with the problems in their lives, Vincent and Estella soon find that trying to forget is easier with someone by your side.

I just started 2014 with a literary BANG! Wrong Side of Town is the most exciting book i've read in a  while and it got me jumping and giggling like a crazy girl... It's that good. The story is amazing, the characters are flawed but easy to understand what drives them and motivates them and the cover is magnificent... Komal Kant is on my top list!

This is Hard and Nasty. The book focus on a pretty girl Stella that appears to be the perfect good girl example... But she hides a secret that broke her, that enabled her of loving. You can see what the secret is from the beginning but Komal wrote this story and mislead us to who was the cause of it. You'll see. And then we have Vincent Madden of the Madden gang. A man used to violence to get what he wants, used to screwing girls not falling for them and a man that is bound to protect his little brother from getting into the business and give him a good life.  Both of them scared and both of them settling for the life someone else has given them.

Don't get all excited yet, because this book ain't all about the girl and bad boy falling in love in an instant and having an earth shattering relationship... No, this book is real! Vincent and Stella is one of the first book couples that will take their time getting to actually like each other and only through routine and having to endure one another for two days a week is where they'll see that they're not that different. So you can see their fondness growing and actually feel like you are not reading a book but experiencing something real.
Still, hot guys could be muggers or rapists and I wasn’t going to let my guard down just because he had a pretty face.
She was something else, that Estella. She was something I wasn’t used to; something I’d never experienced before.
This book is really focused on the present and sometimes it lost the past and what happened before to get the characters to that point, which bummed me out a bit. And in the end i felt like things were rushed and it skipped some answers and scenes that we should have seen. But all together this is an amazing story which is told in both points of view of Vincent and Stella, which is a major bonus!!!!

I am impressed with Stella because this plain girl  managed to make a BIG statement in the book. She has been through hell and back yet she still supports her family and keeps them from falling apart... She still puts up with her drunk father and raises her little sister the best she can because her mother had left them. She has all of this weight on her shoulders and she's only seventeen and goes to highschool and even manages to do some volunteering and help. She's TOUGH. The only thing was that i wanted so know more about her mother and her father and even about Seth and her brother.
He would not break me. He could not break me. I was beyond broken—I was dead.
Vincent is a tough nut to crack! It will take most of the book and most of our patience but he will finally admit his feelings for Stella and admit that he wants to be a better person for her and his brother Dylan. It took time but it doesn't become boring or annoying because you can tell that he's battling an inner fight by admitting his feelings...  So beneath his tough gang member exterior is a guy that really cares about what's his, that protects and gives all he's got because he never got someone to give him love while he was a boy due to his mother being considered a whore... That's why you'll see this couple getting along so well, they are one and the same.
Tonight I needed to forget about a girl. I needed to forget about a girl who had the power to bring me to my knees and destroy me.
I am wishing a book for the rest of the Madden Brothers and see them fall in love! Just so they would stop being insensitive pricks! As for the rest of the gang they were the best... Especially Three and GOAT! They were a must to add some funny things and even a little trouble. It was Awesome and it also brought some danger to the book and some adrenaline with their rival gang. I loved it!
If there was one person who really gave a damn about you, then that was Goat. There was way more to him than just being in the Madden gang.
I say that we haven't seen the best of Komal Kant because in every book she surprises us with something unique and brand new. Wrong Side  Of Town is definitely bound to win some hearts.
